I’m a London-based writer and journalist working on news and features. I’ve contributed to The Guardian, The Observer, The Times, WIREDVICEPositive News, The TelegraphFabulous magazine, The Independent and i Paper, among others. I also worked as a staff sub-editor at Newsweek for four years.

In 2020 I was chosen as one of the London Library’s Emerging Writers. In 2022 I was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice grant by the Arts Council. Later that year, a feature I wrote about an FGM survivor was shortlisted for a Write to End Violence Against Women Award.

My main interests are in health and the environment, particularly the fight against climate and nature destruction. I’m fascinated by people donating parts of themselves to save lives or help others—whether that’s blood, stem cells, bone marrow, organs or anything else. I was awarded Journalist of the Year in 2016 and 2018 by the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register and blood cancer charity.
